Location

Hellidon Lakes Hotel and Golf Club, nestling in its own valley deep in the English countryside, is a secret world. From the moment you drive through the entrance you become part of private nature reserve, consisting of 220 acres, through which runs 27 holes of spectacular golf.

Beyond the lakes, as far as the eye can see, lie mile upon mile of unspoilt open countryside. This complete panorama guarantees the player a truly memorable experience.

Golf

From the elevated position of the first tee, with its inviting fairways and green stretching below, the eye can wander over the shimmering lakes, which are the main feature of the course.

The course itself is designed to test all levels of golfer to the full, yet enabling those of modest ability to enjoy their game. Many of the holes feature water hazards, invariably offering the choice of challenging carries over water, or safer routes skirting the numerous lakes, for the golfer course management is at a premium. The par 5 twelfth hole is a fine example of this, two long shots over the lake can either end in triumph or disaster, alternatively three shots along the zigzag route can yield a solid par.

Length, accuracy, judgement of distance and concentration are all examined as the player takes on the exhilarating challenge of Hellidon Lakes Course. Large greens, well-drained fairways and a modern irrigation system will ensure playing standards of the highest quality throughout the year. Hellidon Lakes magnificent hotel and clubhouse is set in a commanding position overlooking the 18th.

The moment you enter you feel at home, from there you have access to the terrace bar and veranda providing splendid views of Hellidon Lakes.
